Demetri & Georgia: Engagement Party

   We are growing closer to the wedding day! Demetri and Georgia had a backyard engagement party the past weekend in Modesto at Georgia's parent's house. The two were surrounded by their enormous Greek family (some all the way from Alabama) and circle of friends who showered them with love and support. The evening included a blessing of the rings as well as traditional Greek dances for the couple. I had so much fun at my first Greek occasion! It was such an amazing experience and I definitely look forward to their wedding in 2012 :)

Secret Garden

   My old high school had their senior prom a few weeks ago and I was asked by my best friend Bryan to take photos of him and his girlfriend Karma Rose. The theme was secret garden so I thought it was a good idea to take a few photos in a little grassy area by the Del Rio Country Club. Thanks for allowing me to take your prom photos you guys :)

Sarah Louise

   Today, my friend Sarah Louise Elizabeth Edwards is turning 20! At this time, I would just like to thank her again for another great year of photos and overall happiness. She is someone I can count on and is an overall inspiration for a lot of my photos. We have been through a lot this year and it's is nice to know that she still has a way of making me think rationally and never give up. I couldn't ask for a better high school friend to keep in touch with, a better roommate, or a better best friend.

Sleeping With Sirens

   A couple weekends ago, my best friend Raeann had the opportunity to take promos for a band called Sleeping with Sirens! This band is signed by Rise Records and the photos Rae took will be featured in the next issue of AMP Magazine. I am SO proud of her and would like to thank her for letting me be her assistant for the day :) I was able to help her pose the guys, adjust the lighting, and offer critique on the photos. The photos came out great and can be seen on her photography blog! It's definitely worth taking a look.

Relentless Raeann

   My best friend Raeann have had a few adventures the past month that I decided to clump into one post :) At the beginning of the month, she was able to visit me in San Luis where she was able to experience bubblegum alley! We decided to take some photos to document the occasion that could be dubbed "tumblr worthy."

   I also had to take a weekend trip to the Bay Area for an engagement session so I was able to have some play time where I took photos of Rae in her $5 find sequined butterfly top. Yes, magical, I konw!

   The last couple photos were also taken in SLO at a gorgeous forest like area off the base of the Cuesta Grade. We almost stepped in poison oak a few times but it was definitely a gorgeous place for photos we deemed entirely necessary.

Apples to Apples

   Last Thursday I had the honor of taking photos of some amazing people, Nicole and Brian. The two met because of a former co-worker who had worked at Jamba Juice with Nicole and a car dealership with Brian. Having endured Jamba Juice as well, I knew the personality type that worked there and was excited knowing how much fun taking photos of such a fun and charismatic couple would be.

   We took the photos in Golden Gate Park by the De Young Museum where we stumbled across some apple sculptures which Nicole was really excited about. We brainstormed for a second and thought of the cutest pose but unfortunately, I was not able to take pictures of the couple with the apples due to museum restrictions :( Although we were not able to use those sculptures, we were able to find some pretty awesome places at the park including an amazing little area with thousands of blossoms which I enjoyed immensely. I hope you enjoy my favorites of the session!
