Year One!

(Yes, I had to use photobooth since I forgot my camera cable for my weekend travels)

Today is the one year anniversary of my blog! I just want to take this moment to thank all of my viewers around the world (surprisingly!) who have made this journey with me so far. Having broken my goal of 5,000 views by a couple thousand more, I feel so happy and blessed that you all have taken the time to view my work! I look forward to another fun and exciting year of weddings, engagements, babies, and miscellaneous projects. I hope you continue to follow my work as I progress! Thanks again for the support!

Detective Spots First Beach Trip

My roommate Sarah just invested in a pillow pet. He's a leopard named Detective Spots and he's pretty cool. We took him to the beach for a little tanning time and took a few pictures to document the happy event.
The first image is something I decided to play around with a little. The manipulations to the photo  were done from scratch. No iphone, no actions :) I was quite proud of this!

Dainty Daisy

Meet Annie! She was born December 22 and yesterday was her little debut. I was fortunate to take photos of her and her mother Marissa at Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo where she modeled Annika Laurel's new hair band line for babies. For purchase of any of the clips or hair bands worn in the shoot, click here.

Downtown Darling

New Promotional Shot for her line:
Approaching her first sale date for SLO farmer's market, Annika needed better photos of how to wear her versatile clips. Instead of just staying inside and having her stand against a wall, I decided we should hit the town so that the clips can be highlighted as not only pretty but also practical. It was hard to eliminate many of these since all of them turned out so gorgeous! Here are the ones I loved the best!

Vintage Country Wedding Inspirations

I have always been inspired by whimsical weddings. Anything that can incorporate vintage sophistication with the carefree look of country really grabs my attention. Stumbling across some wedding things at my parent's house my mom has acquired over the years really got me inspired. Telling my friend Annika about it, I had the idea to do a bridal inspiration shoot like the seasonal blog entries I always see on greenweddingshoes.com. She made me a custom bridal piece for the project and the rest of the planning and set up went very well!
