Double Rainbow!
My cousin Becky finally made it down from Chico to come visit me for a weekend! It really was an amazing few days where we just were able to catch up, shop, and explore. A highlight of the weekend was definitely me discovering a YouTube video about a double rainbow. Needless to say, it inspired this post title. Becky, who lived in SLO a few years ago before moving up North, was able to take me to some of her favorite places. One of those places was located by a sea cliff at Montano de Oro. It was such an incredible location, I had to take advantage of it. Thank you Becky for an amazing weekend! I am so happy I was able to climb Bishop's with you!

McCraney Wedding Part I
My very good friend Emerald just got married! After getting married at a small ceremony at the Justice of the Piece the week before, I drove to SF to help her get ready and take the couple's wedding photos before the reception. She looked so beautiful in both of her dresses and totally pulled off the birdcage :) I must say, that really completed the outfit and was my inspiration for a more whimsical avant garde look to the photos.
It was such an awesome experience to see her as the wife of the man I know she is supposed to spend the rest of her life with! Congratulations Em and Steve! I wish you the best in your upcoming years together. I know they will be special ones full of joy and love and I'm so happy I was able to be apart of its beginning!
More photos will follow in another entry of the couple and family!

Henna Haze
Two of my friends decided to have a girls night which ended up consisting of henna tattoo designs and a photo shoot. Having done a lot of free hand work for my mom on cakes, I decided to do a full back piece on my friend Allison that she had been wanting for years. It came out pretty amazing if I do say so and it only took, maybe, 3.5 hours?! :)
Since Allison and Annika are roommates, I thought it would be cool to do a cube project of the two of them for them to print. Annika is a totally crafty person so I look forward to seeing what she does with the photos, tissue paper, paint, and canvas!

This was just a photo I played around with. I tried a 35mm
technique called happenstance which is the smashing of two
negatives into a single exposure. I love how it came out but I
think it has room to be re-explored.
